Membership
The York Anglo-Scandinavian Society (YASS) brings together people in the York area with a common interest in Scandinavia.

If you have been to one of the Scandinavian countries, studied a Nordic language, have family or friends there, or just want to become more involved in some aspect of Scandinavian/Nordic life, language, culture or history, come to one of our events or contact us about joining YASS.

YASS Members have access to:

A monthly programme of meetings, presentations, social gatherings and events.

Priority booking at limited events, such as the annual Sankta Lucia in York Minster.

Reading and conversation groups in Scandinavian languages.

A small but growing library of language DVDs and books.

The Annual General Meeting, which is normally held in April each year.

By joining YASS you will also be supporting the work done by the Confederation of Scandinavian Societies in the UK (CoScan), including the CoScan Trust Fund.
Membership rates are:

Ordinary member: £15

In person at one of our regular meetings at the Norwegian Study Centre
