Join us in York Minster for our Sankta Lucia candlelit service, with carols and traditional songs sung in Swedish by our visiting choir.  

The service is always a very popular and memorable event and begins with the minster lights dimmed to allow the choir to process by candelight.

Sankta Lucia is organised by the York Anglo-Scandinavian Society (YASS) with the support of York Minster and with additional sponsorship.

A collection made at the service is split between York Minster and the York Anglo-Scandinavian Society, with YASS making a donation from this towards the CoScan Trust Fund, which provides grants to young people travelling to the Nordic countries.
