Join us in York Minster for our Sankta Lucia candlelit service, with carols and traditional songs sung in Swedish by the Chorus Pictor choir from Täby in Sweden.  

The service is always a very popular and memorable event and begins with the minster lights dimmed to allow the choir to process by candelight.

Sankta Lucia is organized by the York Anglo-Scandinavian Society (YASS) with the support of York Minster and with additional sponsorship.

Donations at the end of the service are shared between York Minster and YASS for the CoScan Trust Fund, which provides grants to young people travelling to the Nordic countries.

YASS members are able to reserve a seat (please RSVP to do this). Non-members are welcome but seats at this free event will be on a first come first served basis.
