About The Event
Ellie Fisher is a YASS member who is currently studying for a PhD in the Satellite Ice Dynamics Group at the University of Leeds.
Ellie Fisher will share her experience of living and working on board the research vessel RRS Sir David Attenborough with the British Antarctic Survey, whilst on a 2-month research campaign in East Greenland.
This research aims to investigate how the melting of Greenland’s ice sheet leads to Atlantic climate tipping points (the GIANT expedition).
Join us to hear about Ellie’s work and about her experiences during the trip.
As usual, there will be an opportunity to socialise over refreshments before the talk.
